Who was the president that says a house divided cannot stand?

Abraham Lincoln knew it well that division among our government wouldn't be profitable to our nation. Meanwhile, all we have seen in the last decades is quarrel between the two major parties of our nation. Republicans and Democrats cannot seem to agree on any issues that matters to the American people.

When do we stop quarrelling? When will we finally come together and work together on issues that matter to the American people? In the midst of our disagreement, let us remind ourselves of the word of Abraham Lincoln, "A house divided cannot stand."
